Between 2007 and 2010, Ron served as a military cameraman in Israel. Now living in Berlin, war feels distant — yet traces of home, memories of Palestine, and the echoes of violence remain ever-present. Told in his own voice, this documentary traces a painful, personal heritage of displacement across Berlin, Palestine, and Israel. Through intimate conversations with his grandmother Ruth, family archives, and raw footage from his time as a soldier in the occupied territories, the film moves between past and present, between personal memory and collective history — connecting Ruth’s exile, his own, and that of the Palestinians.
